The Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) supports students domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to pursue undergraduate studies outside their home region, reimbursing academic fees and providing a maintenance allowance.
Eligibility
- Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh.
- Passed Class 12 in the current year.
- Admitted to an eligible undergraduate course elsewhere in India through the scheme's counselling.
- Meet the scheme's income and merit criteria.

- Reimbursement of academic fees up to the notified ceiling.
- A maintenance allowance for living expenses.
- Supports professional, medical, engineering and general degree streams.
How to apply
- Register on the AICTE PMSSS portal during the counselling window.
- Participate in the online counselling and choose eligible colleges/courses.

- Submit domicile, income and admission documents for verification.
