The Italian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), offers scholarships to international students and Italian citizens living abroad to study Master's degrees, PhDs, AFAM (arts/music) courses and Italian-language courses at Italian institutions. India is among the eligible countries with an annual quota.

Eligibility

  • Citizen of an eligible country (India is included)
  • Meet the age limits for the relevant course type
  • Applying for an eligible Master's, PhD, AFAM or research programme in Italy
  • Meet the language requirement (Italian or English as specified)

Benefits

  • A monthly allowance of around €900
  • Exemption from tuition fees (arranged with the institution)
