AICTE Pragati is a dedicated scholarship that encourages girls to take up technical education and complete it. By supporting tuition and study costs at AICTE-approved diploma and degree institutions, it directly addresses the gender gap in engineering and technology.

Eligibility

  • Girl student admitted to the first year (or second year via lateral entry) of an AICTE-approved diploma or degree programme.
  • Family income up to ₹8 lakh per year.
  • A maximum of two girls per family may benefit.
  • Maintain the required academic progress to renew the award.

Benefits

  • ��50,000 per year towards tuition fees, books, equipment and other study expenses.
  • Renewable for the normal duration of the course.
  • Encourages first-generation and financially weaker girl students into technical fields.

How to apply

  • Register for a One-Time Registration (OTR) ID on the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in) using your Aadhaar and mobile number.
  • Log in and select this specific scheme from the list of available scholarships.
  • Fill the application with your academic, income and bank details exactly as they appear on your documents.
  • Upload clear scans of all required documents within the size limits.
  • Submit before the deadline and note your application ID.
  • Track the status until your institute and the state/ministry verify it.
