Overview

The Health Dean's Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2026 is offered by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to support a high-achieving school leaver starting a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree. It provides partial funding of AUD 10,000 for Bachelors study in Health and Life Sciences at UTS in Australia. The scholarship is open to Australian and New Zealand nationals, and holders of an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa. Applicants must be current school leavers or gap year students with an ATAR or equivalent, enrolling full-time in a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree. Awards are made automatically after ATAR results are released in December, so you must be enrolling as a local student with a UTS course preference on your UAC application.

Eligibility

Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa.
Must be a current school leaver or gap year student who received an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) or equivalent score.
Must have full-time enrolment in a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree, including first-year subjects (8 subjects) as full-time load.
Selection is based on academic excellence at year 12 level, ranked in ATAR order, excluding bonus points.
First UAC preferences for a UTS Faculty of Health undergraduate degree at the time of selection will be highly regarded.
Candidates who applied using the optional UTS online Elite School Leavers Scholarships Application form will be highly regarded.
Motivation to succeed in the chosen Faculty of Health degree program, as demonstrated in the scholarship application, may be considered.
Demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life, as shown in the scholarship application, may be considered.

You must be enrolling as a local student and have a University of Technology Sydney course preference on your UAC application to be eligible.
These scholarships are awarded automatically following the release of ATAR results in December.
