Overview

The Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme 2026 is offered by the Government of India through the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana. It provides partial funding of up to INR 5,000 per annum to students enrolled in government colleges in Haryana. The scheme is open to Indian nationals pursuing Bachelors, Masters, MBA, or Medicine (MBBS/MD) in any subject. Eligible applicants must be domiciles of Haryana, belong to the General or SC category, and have secured first, second, or third position in their annual university examination. The scheme is college-specific and only for students in recognized government colleges; those in non-government colleges or correspondence/open universities are not eligible. Applications are submitted online with required documents such as Aadhaar card, photograph, signature, income certificate, Haryana domicile certificate, caste certificate, class certificate, Parivar pehchaan patra, fee receipt, and previous exam certificate (except for first-year students).

Eligibility

Must be a domicile of Haryana.
Must belong to the General or SC category.
Must have secured first, second, or third position in the annual university examination.
Must be pursuing general courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, or education streams at a recognized government college.
Must be enrolled in a government college in Haryana; students from non-government colleges or correspondence courses/open universities are not eligible.
Must be an Indian national.

How to apply

Submit the application form online only.
Prepare the required documents: Aadhaar card, applicant’s photograph, applicant's signature, income certificate, Haryana domicile certificate, caste certificate, class certificate, Parivar pehchaan patra, fee receipt, last exam passed certificate (except for 1st-year students), BPL certificate (if applicable), and father's death certificate (if applicable).
Complete the online application and upload the documents.
