Overview

The Ethel Susan Jones Fine Arts Travelling Scholarship at the University of Canterbury is offered by the University of Canterbury. It provides partial funding of up to NZD 5,000 for Masters-level study in Fine Arts. The scholarship supports University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts students or alumni to continue their education by traveling abroad. Applicants must have completed at least one term's study at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in a studio course, with the award normally made to those close to completion or who have completed within the last two years a BFA, BFA(Hons) or MFA degree. It is open to all nationals, including Indian students, and can be used at the University of Canterbury. Applications are made online at the Scholarships website by 31 October.

Eligibility

Open to applicants who have satisfactorily completed at least one term's study at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in a studio course.
The award will normally be made to students who are close to completion of, or who have completed within the last two years, a BFA, BFA(Hons) or MFA degree.
Applicants must be School of Fine Arts students who excelled in studio classes, particularly in original composition.
